Cody White Biography

All About Cody White Fine Art

Cody was born and raised in the high desert planes of southern Idaho. As an adolescent Cody was always curious in the ways of artistic expression. Cody started his journey in the arts at the age of 12, playing bass guitar in his church band. Inspired by the disciplines of learning syncopated rhythms and music theory; Cody sought to expand his art from being strictly an audible experience. Cody attained an associate’s degree in culinary arts in the pursuit of a better understanding of the different facets of art expression, in which he discovered how tightly woven the synergy among art disciplines truly are, which led him to the artist Robert Moore. Cody White pursued an apprenticeship with Robert Moore for over five years where he learned an extended knowledge of all the appearances and actions of being a full time artist and has been greatly blessed with the opportunity to be influenced by Robert’s guiding hand.

Cody learned the art and beauty of impressionism by relating the impressionistic experience as a conversation where the artist and viewer can both come together and agree on sense and feeling of the painting. Cody’s vision and hopes with his high energy and vibrant paintings is to encourage viewers to experience the beauty of life and the senses that God has given us. Cody is deeply inspired by the immediacy of Robert’s paintings which he tries to continually communicate in his paintings as well; he is inspired by the idea that “less is more”. Always pushing and striving for a deeper understanding, Cody’s direction and vision for his paintings is to be more refined in conveying the love and passion of the artistic sensory experience by celebrating intensity, color harmony, clear value separation and thick textured paint.
